When you purchase the server, you have a license to install it on one computer at a time. The higher priced servers can be accessed by more users. Usage tracking is done in a 60-minute time period. For example, if you have purchased the 10 user version, and ten different people access it, the eleventh person must wait until the first one stops using it for 60 minutes. The server distinguishes people based on their IP address and a browser cookie.
The software is sold as a perpetual license. Upgrades are free for one year from the date of purchase. You do not have to upgrade to keep using it.
The software runs on Windows or Linux. A complete listing of operating systems is available when you click on the Buy button. The installer includes all necessary components, including a web server. The service will not conflict with existing web servers running on your machine. The web server runs on port 1086, but this can be changed in a configuration file.
For international fonts, you will require the font Arial Unicode. This
font is included with Microsoft Office, and it is also available from
Microsoft.
For the Napkin style, you may also wish to install the FG Virgil font.
